When I researched 2D animation company, I found here and really surprised about it. That's because this is the company that I want to work. Immediately I fell in love with those animation work style also I could find Hannah Lau-Walker, my last semester mentor, as the animator of commercial animation work. I'm thinking about working at not only kids or movie animation but also commercial field. I want to collaborate with many brands and it makes me satisfied with. Last year, I was worked with 'Mama academy' and that experience was quite fun and useful to understand the process of animation making. However I also want to do some character design and color matching too. When they do some project, it looks like they pick up some colours and use them for the whole project. In addition, I realized that I need to draw many poses with the line of action and exaggerate it would be the animation more active and fun. Just looking at their website, that makes me motivated and I felt like I should do something right now for this industry.
Additionally, I was looking for the 3D project too, most of the projects were also made with real paper craft for the flexibility for the customers.
Furthermore, I also learned that I need to communicate and collaborate with many co-workers for the big project. There were totally 21 people were needed for animation. Basically, 12 people were hired for animating three 30 seconds (totally 90 sec) of commercial animation and 9 people were worked for cleaning up. So I have to always keep in touch with them.
Finally, I realized that I have to focus on how to make the the movement of typography and characters more lively and that is the most basic thing for the 2D animations.

At the Seed animation site, I found this company. They mixed the 2D animation with the stop motion (or 3D animation). There were 2 more family companies, 'Blink' and 'Blink Industries'.
Firstly, it looks like to making the clay craft, needed some sophisticated skill. They also did the 3D project similarly like the Seed animation Studio. In fact, many 3D projects are always combined with 2D, not only 3D all the time. I am interested in making the background of thee 3D environment or characters.

Most of the works from this company are 3D animation but they also treat 2D animations. However I think this company use many CGI skills and that looks not my field. Though the 2D and 3D animations are connected and it would be useful to work and collaborate with artist so I need to know how it made by.

This company is located in Paris, France but I found many animations collaborated with fashion brand, CHANEL. I watched so many advertisements and they all looked amazing. Nowadays, fashion industry also make many animations for adults. These trend looks going steadily and I want to make some fancy animation like this.
Role
1. Concept artist
Celine Kim, Pierr Droal, Feng Zhu, Mina Lee
Normally, concept artist is common in 3D game, animation, film field. I found Mina-lee, who is working at Hi-Rez studio in America. She said, if you design a character in an animation, you design colours, body silhouettes, clothes, and hairstyles that match the character's personality, and it is important that all the visual elements of the character show the character's personality well.
For example, superhero characters in an animation have broad shoulders in rectangular silhouettes, villains have aggressive pointed elements, and cheerful characters often have round shapes and bright colors, and viewers naturally read the character's character without having to think long.
In the case of a three-dimensional character whose personality changes according to the story, parts of the design change before and after the personality change, and the character "Violet" in the animation "Incredible" covers half of her face with her hair reflects her confident and wanting to hide. But when Violet finds confidence and decides to do something different, she puts her dismal head up with a headband and reveals her face.
Furthermore, she said after meeting, 80% of her drawings are discarded. It means that concept artist need to draw tons of artwork and that is essential for develop the real character. Additionally, if you want to be good concept artist, doing assignment and getting feedback is also important.
2. Kids book writer
Suzy Lee, Heena Baek
For the first, to be a good writer, need to read a lots of books. In addition, you should write down every materials of book when it comes out from your mind. Actually I also like real hand-made illustrations. The title is 'Cloud bread', and 'The fairy of Jang-soo tang'. To publish your book, you can search many opportunities supported by government.
